The contestants for the next season of Dancing With the Stars have been announced and in keeping the tentative sporting link alive [is dancing a sport?], Barbara Kendall [Olympic boardsailor], Josh Kronfeld [former All Black] and Lizzy Igasan [Black Sticks captain] are in the next series.

Early office speculation has Tamati Coffey [You know, the guy who wants to look like Vin Diesel and zap fat hairy quick spiders with laser beams from his hands] tipped to take it out, but who do you think will get it?

Just for future reference TVNZ, never compare the huge social and political upheaval caused by the 1981 Springbok tour to some stupid media-driven "coaching controversy".

No crazed Robbie Deans fan is going to be dropping flour bombs from a plane. Henry supporters are not going to gather together and storm the pitch. And there will be no fights in street between fans of the opposing coaches. You will never see scenes like this (video) or this:

So please, don't cheapen history just so you can build-up your non-story.
