I've often fantasized about being a Formula One driver. Who hasn't?
It'd be great. You'd be at the peak of physical performance due to the intense training regime and diet, you'd get paid a packet just to drive at high speeds, you'd live a jet-set rock/movie star lifestyle and you'd get to drive some of the most exclusive cars on the planet.
But if you drive for the Marlboro F1 team [Ferrari] and your name is Felipe Massa, Eduardo Massa or Luca Badoer, or you ride for their MotoGP team [Ducati] and your name is Casey Stoner, Nicky Hayden or Vittoriano Guareschi you also get to do cool things like this during the offseason:
An annual tradition, it came as no surprise the group of motorsport competitors decided to pass the time with a bit of kart racing... on
ice.
For those who think that winning such an event is more important than actually living it, Massa lost to Stoner on the final lap.

Poor Canada,
They just lost their Formula 1 Grand Prix to Abu Dhabi (now the final race of the year).
The F1 season has changed so much in the last few years. I used to know al the drivers and all the tracks and the order in which they were raced (the last always used to be Suzuka in Japan).
So now there are four races in Asia, ten in Europe, two in the Middle East and one each in Australia and Brazil.
I was never a fan of the Canadian GP so I'm not shedding any tears, but I think it's clear who the F1 bosses are targetting.
Brendon Hartley is being touted as New Zealand's next best chance to get himself a F1 drive, but, really, with looks like that, he should just perfect the Blue Steel look he's giving there in the photo on the right, and move into male modelling full time.
Or, alternately, get himself an indie band to stand in front of so he can belt out some 70s-esque rock stompers whilst wearing unfeasibly tight designer jeans.
Seriously, look at him, it's like he's channeling Luke Wilson's Hansel from Zoolander. (Or is it Jon Heder's Jimmy MacElroy from Blades of Glory).
Anyway, at least he's got another career up his sleeve should the driving career go to custard.
