Wednesday, 28 Oct 2009 — MarieThe list of the French Squad was given today and there is four new players that will join the squad for this autumn tour 2009 : Antoine Burban, Luc Ducalcon, Sébastien Fall and Alexandre Lapandry. So I did think of a little something, more precisely a music panel related to cities where the players are coming from in their respective teams
So in Clermont you might listen a band name Cocoon
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEctVuj7Edc
and the players coming from the ASM Clermont- Auvergne
Front players : Thomas Domingo, Alexandre Lapandry
Back player: Morgan Parra
In Bayonne you could see a concert of Michel Portal
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0i2j3hS7YM
and the player coming from the Avirons Bayonnais
Back player: Sébastien Fall
In Biarritz, that where André Navarra a very known violoncellist was from
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rX8NPBZgGMw
and the players coming from the BO, Biarritz Olympique
Front players : Fabien Barcella, Imanol Harinordoquy
Back player: Damien Traille
Now about Castres right now I can't think of something, I'm dry about something in music in Castres lol but it probably will comeback to me but I do think of an interesting character coming from the photographic world, Arthur Batut (1846-1918)
http://www.invasive.org/gist/products/sensing/primer0120.html
and the players coming from the CO, Castres Olympique
Front player: Luc Ducalcon
In Montpellier you might listen Emilie Simon
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMDunGVx7uU
and the players coming from the MHRC, Montpellier
Front player: Fulgence Ouedraogo
Back player: François Trinh-Duc
In Colombe that where a very famous band named Trust used to rehearse
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrU-4H_FXhM
and the players coming from the Racing-Metro 92 :
Front players : Sébastien Chabal, Lionnel Nallet
In Paris you might listen MC Solar
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-n8kGW16RYs
and the players coming from Stade Français :
Front players : Sylvain Marconnet, Dimitri Szarzewski, Pascal Papé, Antoine Burban
Back player: Julien Dupuy
For Toulouse I took two things, the first one is a very interesting visual artwork, put in music, the second one I'll put a little later but to come back to that one, it's particular, but still very interesting work
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49yaUwrVEQ4&
and the players coming from Stade Toulousain
Front players : William Servat, Romain Millo-Chlusky, Thierry Dusautoir (captain), Louis Picamoles
Back players : Frédéric Michalak, Yannick Jauzion, Yann David, Vincent Clerc, Cédric Heymans, Maxime Médard
and in Perpignan you might listen the Kargols
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhZJGXzRaSg
and the players coming from the USAP, Perpignan
Front players : Nicolas Mas
Back players: David Marty, Maxime Mermoz
and how the first test against South Africa will happen in Toulouse – thing that didn't happen since 1995- I thought of that other things that I was talking earlier, a well known singer to welcome everybody

Sunday, 01 Nov 2009 — MarieNow for the French squad, I knew that I had to do something quick cause there was matches this weekend and there will be others on Thursday and as we all know, things can go fast in rugby time.
So Castres' prop Luc Ducalcon has been rule out after he hurt his knee on the match against Perpignan and it's Guilhem Guirado that his call into the squad.
Now there is also incertitudes for Imanol Harinordoquy and Antoine Burban, thought after exams, Imanol Harinordoquy seems ok and he is still in the squad.

Sunday, 08 Nov 2009 — MarieSo following an injury on his hand Antoine Burban has been rule out for those Autumn Tests and he will be replace in the squad by Julien Bonnaire for Clermont Auvergne and same for Fulgence Ouedraogo who hurt in shoulder in the match against Montauban and it's Ibrahim Diarra from Castres that will join in.
- reply
Monday, 09 Nov 2009 — Naly DWhat is Ibrahim Diarra like? I can't recall seeing much of him.

Sunday, 15 Nov 2009 — Mariewell, like of all of our babies: two arms, a head, two legs... I coudn't resist lol : )
More serioulsy, he used to play for Montauban XV before to join the Castres Olympique this year, now he counts one selection in the French team in the last 6 Nations against Italia.

Sunday, 15 Nov 2009 — MarieEverybody was pretty exited to have a test match played in Toulouse, like said earlier that didn't happen since the 90's – and it was a match against the world champion. So for that occasion les belles nappes et couverts étaient de sorties et c'est avec beaucoup d'envies, en, comme on dit, salivant, que nous arrivions
France 20 – 13 South Africa
Stadium Municipal, Toulouse
The match started really fast with a lot of intensity, a speed and an intensity that went on for the entire match. The French team showed rapidly that they were answering present in the physicality but not only, they didn't want the Spingboks to have the ball and they kept attacking, putting down their game little by little still keeping them under pressure and it's on a mistake that John Smit marked the first try for the Sringboks. Rapidly the French team reacted and in a very nice move from the team, Vincent Clerc conclude a try. There was also other occasions to marked tries for the French team but the Spingboks did hold on good.
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xb54vk_rugby-vincent-clerc-essais-contr...
Now for me, the French team showed some of her good qualities on that match and put on the right pressure on the Spingboks. It was a good game where they took control on in every sector, with a very important thing, they kept on focus despite making à droite et à gauche quelques boulettes, en tous les cas, mouaaaaa, je me suis, comme on dit, régalée !!! lol : )

Now, before the match I was a little nervous about the hymns, regarding about what happened the week before, when Claude Nougaro took possession of the South African singer Ras Dumisani so I had a little chill that Edith would want to come down too, but no. lol : )
France 43 - 5 Samoa

Sunday, 29 Nov 2009 — Marieand here was the third and last, but like said, not least, test match for the French team against the New Zealand team and it was some nice running rugby test match for the David Gallagher trophy !!!
France 12 - 39 New Zealand
Right away the two teams wanted to play. They put on each other a lot of pressure and with the All Blacks qualities, every time that the French team made a mistake that went back, as we know that with a team like the All Blacks you're entering a "no boulettes" allowed zone. Rapidly Sitiveni Sivivatu followed in some nice move by a nice try by Mils Muliana, marking then the firsts tries for New Zealand, later followed by a nice try by Jérome Kaino, Cory Jane and Conrad Smith . But during the match the French team kept creating occasions but they didn't find the key to go behind the line as the All Black will keep that record clear for this year again. In one point something happened that I didn't see and there was a little moment of "gourmandise" where they all decided to share some caramels before the referee blow the end of the recreation.
Then the All Blacks kept on putting on some more pressure and little by little they took over on divers sector of the game. The French team was to weak on defense and in the ruck area on that match and the All Blacks put on some great, great speed at the execution of their game.
Now some people did "boo" Dan Carter during the match and well, that something that I don't understand particularly in rugby cause you can use the blowing for all kind of more serious reasons ? but well ? ….
En tous les cas et malgré tout, c'était un beau match !!! Congratulation, nice win : )
France 12 - 39 New Zealand
For France
3 Pens: Julien Dupuy
1 Drop: François Trinh-Duc
For New Zealand
5 Tries : Mils Muliaina, Jérome Kaino, Cory Jane, Conrad Smith and Sitiveni Sivivatu
4 Cons: Dan Carter
2 Pens: Dan Carter
Now regarding the French Autumn Tour I think that there are still positive things to build on for the squad.

Sunday, 29 Nov 2009 — Naly DWhat I noticed during the game was that the French had a few good chances to score, but only from outside our 22. It seemed whenever we were within our 22 it was impossible to breach our line.
Also, it seemed like after 4 or 5 phases the French would lack structure and just start throwing it around, forwards would be with the backs, backs would be standing over the rucks... Impossible to continue attacking from there!
- reply
Sunday, 29 Nov 2009 — MarieWell, there was couple of times where the French team was closer than the 22 but logically that when the pressure was stronger, but they did mess of some explosiveness.
and there is some more on this test match by Naly
